Restream and PGM.NINJA both run in the browser and both send one show to several platforms at once. They start from different pictures of who is on the show. A browser studio like Restream is built around guests who join by a link with their webcam and microphone. PGM.NINJA is built around cameras, encoders and phones that send SRT, and it has no guests by link at all.
So the answer depends on your sources. If the people on your show sit in front of laptops, stay with a browser studio. If your pictures come from cameras in the field, on a stage or in a backpack, a studio built for SRT is the better tool.
What we say about Restream here is as of October 2026 and limited to what we are sure of: it is a browser studio with multistreaming, built around guests who join by link, sold as a subscription, and it advertises more than 30 platforms. We make no statement about its prices or about how it handles SRT. Check those with Restream.
What a browser studio does better
- Guests by link. Your guest joins by a link, with webcam and microphone, without an app or an encoder. PGM.NINJA cannot do this: every source needs something that sends SRT.
- More platforms. Restream advertises 30+ platforms. PGM.NINJA sends to up to eight destinations at once. Each is an RTMP(S) address, which covers Twitch, YouTube, Kick and any server of your own, but eight is the limit.
- Nothing to learn for the guest. A talk format with changing guests runs on that. Asking each guest to install an SRT app first would cost you guests.
- A note on us. PGM.NINJA is in closed beta. You sign in and are on the waitlist.
What PGM.NINJA is built for
Your sources send SRT to your studio: up to eight at once, each from anywhere, as H.264 video and AAC audio. Anything that sends SRT works, for example OBS, Moblin, IRL Pro, Larix, vMix, ffmpeg or a hardware encoder. Each input has its own address that normally stays the same, so you set it up once.
SRT is made for bad networks: it retransmits lost packets within a time window. If a camera's connection drops anyway, the stream to the platform stays up and the overlay keeps running. The camera's picture is missing until it is back or until you cut to another source. That cut is made by hand; an automatic fallback scene is planned.
The desk has two buses, program and preview. You put a source on preview, check picture and sound, and take it to program. All inputs keep running in the background, so a cut is instant. Each input has a fader, a mute, a mono switch and an offset between picture and sound.
On top of the picture lies one web page as an overlay, with its sound. Whatever works as a browser source in OBS works here: alerts, widgets, chat boxes.

What we do not have
The limits, plainly:
- No guests by link, as said.
- A scene is one input. There is no picture-in-picture and no layout with two people side by side. If you want two people in one frame, that frame has to be made before it reaches us.
- The cut is a hard cut. Transitions are planned.
- Exactly one overlay page. No text, image or media sources of our own.
- No recording.
- SRT input is H.264 only, and bonding with SRTLA is planned and not built.
How the payment differs
PGM.NINJA is prepaid by the day: 1 day for 10 €, 3 days for 20 €, 30 days for 150 €, net, with German VAT added. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Bought days never expire, and every day includes all eight inputs and all eight destinations. A day is used when you open your studio on it.
For a monthly show a 3-day pack carries you through three shows, however far apart they are.
Who should choose what
Choose a browser studio like Restream if
- your show is a conversation with remote guests on webcams,
- your guests change and cannot be asked to install anything,
- you need more than eight destinations,
- you need several people in one picture, which PGM.NINJA cannot do.
Choose PGM.NINJA if
- your sources are cameras, phones or encoders that send SRT,
- some of them are on mobile data and the stream must survive a dropout,
- somebody switches between cameras by hand, in the browser or from a phone,
- you stream on some days only and do not want a subscription.
